Mark Uhlemann, bass-baritone, is embarking on the second act of his career thanks to his reputation as an artist of exceptional expressivity in both operatic and concert performances.  His performances have been praised as “impressive, dramatic and nuanced” (Chicago Tribune), “stunning” (New York Concert Review) and “exciting” (Opera News). He is a winner of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, the Concert Artists Guild Competition, and the Chicago Bel Canto Competition, as well as a graduate of the Metropolitan Opera Lindemann Young Artist Development Program.

He has performed with the Metropolitan Opera, New York City Opera, Seattle Opera, Glimmerglass Opera, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, Lyrique-en-mer, Bürklins Sommeroper, Aspen Opera Theatre Center, California Chamber Opera, Encompass New Opera Theatre, Opera Company of Brooklyn, New York City Ballet, American Symphony Orchestra, Indianapolis Symphony, and the Tanglewood, Ravinia, and Manchester Music Festivals.
